List of NRK regional services
For the purpose of regional broadcasting on NRK, Norway is divided into 14 districts. 13 of these districts follow county boundaries and provide services in the Norwegian language, while one overlaps the other districts and provides services in the Sami languages. Each district includes one district office that functions as a regional headquarters. Regional broadcasting output generally comes from the district offices, though some of the local offices are also capable of producing a limited amount of programming. Regional services include the following radio and TV output:
* Radio: NRK P1 Monday through Friday from 06:00 CET to 09:00 and 14:00 to 17:00. In addition, hourly news updates are provided between 06:00 and 17:00 on weekdays and between 08:00 and 12:00 on Saturdays.
* TV: A 15-minute newscast on NRK1 Monday through Friday at 18:45 and a 5-minute newscast Monday through Thursday at 20:55. These programmes are rebroadcast nationwide on NRK2 at night and during the following day. There are 11 regional television newscasts in Norwegian since the Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane districts as well as the Finnmark and Troms districts cooperate to produce shared newscasts.
